Students who need physical therapy observation hours are welcome to contact Mountain Town Rehab. Call (989) 779-2920 to discuss availability and schedule your time before arriving at the clinic.

Please review these expectations before your first scheduled observation time.
Professional dress
Wear business-casual clothing that presents a professional image. Jeans are permitted only on Fridays and may not be torn or frayed. Call before your first visit if you are unsure whether an item is appropriate.
Confidentiality
Patient identities and all information seen or heard in the clinic must remain strictly confidential, whether encountered intentionally or inadvertently. This responsibility continues after your observation experience ends.
Hand hygiene
Wash your hands whenever they are visibly soiled and after coughing, sneezing, blowing your nose, using the restroom, touching bare body parts, or completing any activity that may contaminate your hands.
Nametag & parking
Wear the nametag we provide whenever you are in the clinic and leave it in the designated laundry-room basket afterward. Please leave parking spaces closest to the building available for patients.
Learning in the clinic
We encourage thoughtful questions and interaction with our team. Please recognize that some questions should wait until a patient is no longer present.
Track hours & plan ahead
You are responsible for scheduling and tracking your observation hours; tracking forms are available at the clinic. If you may request verification or a recommendation letter later, tell the therapist you observe in advance.
