Mark is originally from Mt. Pleasant and is a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Health Science from the University of Michigan-Flint and completed his Master's in Physical Therapy at U of M-Flint in 1992. He earned his doctorate in physical therapy from Rocky Mountain University in Provo, Utah. He is a graduate of the URSA Foundation under the direction of Dr. Loren Rex. He has extensive training in manual techniques and has completed numerous courses on Muscle Energy Techniques (MET), including coursework instructed by Dr. Fred Mitchell and Dr. Jay Sandweiss. Mark is certified in dry needling through the Travell Series. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (Orthopedic and Private Practice Sections) and the Michigan Physical Therapy Association. In 2015, Mark obtained his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification. He received fellowship training at the Institute of Therapeutic Science and is an adjunct faculty member who lectures on topics including knee injuries and blood flow restriction. He serves on the admittance panel for Central Michigan University's Physical Therapy graduate program. Prior to opening his own business, he was the Director of Rehabilitation Services for Central Michigan Community Hospital.
Mark opened Mountain Town Rehab in 2001. He treats primarily orthopedic injuries and enjoys treating an eclectic population with a variety of interventions. He is active in the community and enjoys spending time with his family.
Mark's patient-centered approach to care has created a dedicated clientele and a strong referral base. He has treated athletes at youth, high school, collegiate, professional, and Olympic levels. Mountain Town Rehab is committed to personal, quality care for Central Michigan.
