Mountain Town Rehab has physical therapists educated and trained to provide various vestibular rehabilitation treatments. Physical therapy for vestibular disorders can be effective in reducing symptoms and improving function. People with vestibular disorders may be diagnosed with BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), labyrinthitis, or other conditions affecting a person’s inner ear or sense of balance. They may have symptoms of dizziness, imbalance, vertigo, and/or visual disturbance.
Your therapist will perform tests to identify the type of vestibular disorder that is causing your symptoms. They will then provide the appropriate treatment including Canalith Repositioning Procedure/Epley Maneuver, balance training, habituation exercise, and gaze stabilization.
