PHYSICAL THERAPY

The Mountain Town Rehab team is committed to providing each patient with personal, quality care.  Our patient-centered approach means the focus is on your individual condition, your needs, and the uniqueness of your situation.  Your therapist will develop your exclusive plan of care by combining manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education to help you regain function, build strength, and reach your potential.  Your individualized treatment plan will include a home exercise program and self-management techniques to help you continue to progress independently and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle...being able to do what's important to you.

Your treatment may include any combination of the following active therapies and passive modalities:

Balance Training - To improve balance, proprioception, coordination, and strength.

Manual Therapy - Skilled, hands-on treatments utilized to mobilize articulations and release soft tissue providing pain relief and decreased swelling.

Modalities - Including, but not limited to electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy, soft tissue massage, and ultrasound for pain relief and soft tissue pliability.

Strength Training - Strength training uses resistance to build muscle. Benefits can include increased bone, muscle, tendon, and ligament strength, improved joint function and reduced potential for injury.

Therapeutic Exercise - Your therapeutic exercise program will be developed specifically for you and will address pain, restrictions, and functional limitations by building strength, improving flexibility, increasing endurance, and promoting relaxation.
