At Mountain Town Rehab, we have physical therapists who specialize
in Pediatric Physical Therapy. This involves early detection,
treatment, and management of various conditions affecting the pediatric
population which includes infants, children, and adolescents.
Pediatric Physical Therapy may include, but is not limited to evaluation
of developmental and gross motor skills, sensory skills, postural
tone, balance reaction and reflexes, range of motion, strength and
motor control. Treatment sessions are focused on improving
balance and coordination, progressing gross and fine motor skills,
developing sensory integration, and building strength and endurance.
Pediatric Physical Therapy may be recommended to aid in recovery
from an injury and assist with a speedy return to an active routine.
Pediatric Physical Therapy is also utilized in the treatment and
management of a variety of conditions and diagnosis such as torticollis,
spina bifida, cerebral palsy, TBI, autism spectrum disorders, and
developmental delay among others.
